When using OnContact CRM, there may come a time where you need to reset a user’s password; either because they’ve forgotten their password or have entered it incorrectly too many times.
The brief training video below will show you exactly what you need to do as an administrator to reset a user’s password.
There may be times when you need to reset a password for a user either because they forgotten their old password or because they’ve made too many attempts to log in using an incorrect password. This is done by an administrator in the setup area.
Click modules, and open the user records. Locate the user that you wish to work with. In
this case notice that David Stone is inactive. When a user logs in too many times with an invalid password, the system will automatically mark them as inactive as a security measure. So we’ll open that record, make him active again and we’ll go ahead and change the password. Click OK and save and close.
Give the user the new password that you’ve entered and ask them to please change it again or if you like you could click on this change password checkbox and that will prompt him to immediately change the password the next time he logs into the system.
