Looking forward towards the rest of 2015, what does this year have in store for the ERP software industry? Here are some of our predictions:

  1. More companies will invest in mobile solutions to run with their ERP software. Organizations will realize that investing in the right tools to interpret business data will help them get the most out of their ERP system.
  2. More standalone systems. Many ERP vendors are offering standalone software solutions that aren’t limited to simply ERP. Companies will have more and more options to extend the abilities of their ERP systems with apps and add-ons.
  3. Integration will become more important. It will be more and more critical for consultants and vendors to provide integration between systems. The architecture of these systems will therefore be equally important.
  4. Greater emphasis on user-friendly interfaces. For decades, many ERP interfaces have remained largely unchanged. They have earned a reputation for being complex and for not being user-friendly. However, as more millennials enter the workforce, many ERP systems are getting a long-overdue makeover. This will be a positive change for usability and user adoption of ERP systems.

These are just a few of our predictions for the coming year. What do you think? Have we missed anything? Share your predictions for the coming year in the comments section.
